I am a lifelong resident of Central New York, growing up in Auburn, New York. I attended St. Lawrence University for my undergraduate degree (B.A. in Government) and Thomas M. Cooley Law School to obtain my Juris Doctor (J.D). While attending law school, I was a recipient of an Honors Scholarship and the New York State Alumni Scholarship. I am licensed in the State of New York and the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York.
After law school, I returned to Auburn to start my legal career, where I began my own practice before joining a local law firm as an associate attorney and ultimately becoming a senior partner. After 9+ years, I left private practice for a new opportunity working as a Social Services Attorney for the Cayuga County Department of Social Services. While at the County, I handled prosecuting abuse/neglect proceedings, child support enforcement, and Article 81 proceedings under the Mental Hygiene Law. While working for the county, I decided to open my own private practice focusing criminal law and appeals.
In April of 2023, I returned to private practice full-time. While finding the work with the County very rewarding, I realized I missed being in private practice full-time. Private Practice gives me the great opportunity to assist individuals with their legal needs. As a sole proprietor attorney, it gives me the opportunity to be more flexible in meeting my client's needs. My practice covers Cayuga, Cortland, Seneca, Wayne, Yates, Onondaga, Oswego, Monroe, and Jefferson Counties.
